The extremely high accuracy inherent in Setra's patented variable capacitance ceramic load cell is now available in Quick Count, a moderately priced, easy to use counting scale. The simple six key design allows the user to master scale operation in minutes, reducing training time and increasing productivity. Thanks to an internal resolution of 1 part in 500,000, the Quick Count requires sample sizes much smaller than those required by scales using more conventional weighing sensors. Smaller samples reduce sampling time and make hand-counting errors less likely to occur. This results in more efficient transaction processing and faster, more accurate inventory auditing. All scales convert to any of six weighing units at the touch of a button. Count or weight information can be transmitted to a printer or to a computer via the standard RS-232 serial data interface. Overload and shock protection combined with an elegantly simple load cell design makes the Quick Count rugged, reliable and accurate. And its affordable price makes it an exceptionally good value. Features Accuracy Monitor. Special settings monitor the sampling process and, if necessary, cause the scale to prompt the operator if the number of pieces used in the sample is too small, or if the sample weight is insufficient. Printing Data and/or bar codes may be accomplished in a single keystroke when a computer, tape or label printer is connected. Programmable RS-232 output with ScriptCoder� allows a custom label design to be printed to a dot matrix printer for text or a thermal label printer for bar codes. Bidirectional data communications allow pieceweights and commands to be downloaded from a computer. Serviceability. Thanks to a modular design and built-in automatic temperature compensation, Quick Count scales can be serviced on-site by an authorized Setra Service Technician. Options and Accessories ScriptCoder Label Design Software& Cable Kit simplifies the programming of the RS-232 output through a PC program which converts text and scale data fields into ASCII codes that can be downloaded into the scale through the RS-232 port. Auto Count™ 200 for bar code scanning and printing. This product minimizes the chances of sampling error, increasing counting accuracy. And since scanning is much faster than hand counting, the Auto Count 200 dramatically reduces labor costs.
